2026 Business Community Meets With BC Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness

ICONNBC Business Association hosted a round-table discussion with members of the business community, property owners, developers, professionals, and community leaders, together with invited guest speaker: The Honourable Kelly Greene, Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness.

The discussion focused on business preparedness and resilience in the face of increasingly frequent natural disasters, climate-related emergencies, cyber threats, and infrastructure disruptions across British Columbia. Participants explored practical strategies for emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, disaster response, and recovery, while discussing the important role that government, businesses, and community organizations play in strengthening resilience and protecting local economies.
